FAQs
What is the difference between fat loss and weight loss?
Fat loss is when we decrease the amount of fat in our body and increase muscle.
Weight loss is when we focus on only our weight by restricting calories. But the weight that is lost is muscle and water instead of fat. Muscle is needed to burn more calories at rest and more fat. So we should focus on fat loss with a well designed exercise and nutrition program.
Do I need to diet and exercise to loose weight?
Good question. First of all I will direct you to the answer of the first question, which is we want to focus on fat loss. And personally we have abused the word diet to where it is a negative word where our minds automatically switch to starvation mode, which is not what we need to do to loose weight.
To loose weight efficiently and effectively for long term results, we need to watch what we eat. We need to fuel our bodies with the nutrition it need. Most of use eat too much and not the right foods, so that needs to be addressed.
And a well designed exercise program strengthens and builds muscles, which burns more calories at rest, which helps you to loose fat.
To loose weight, yes we need to have both components of balanced nutrition (diet) and exercise.
How is your programs delivered?
Our programs are delivered through internet. Assessments, programs and coaching can be sent through the web. Programs can be printed and can be used at home or in the gym. This is a much more cost efficient way for you.
What types of equipment do I use?
Most people some type of equipment at home they have purchased but don’t know how to use it to the fullest benefit to them. We try to use these pieces of equipment if you can. Depending on your current fitness level, if you have certain challenges within your body, ie. Back problems, knee ex..
So depending on your current fitness level and your goals and where you are planning to exercise (at home or in a fitness facility) and budget is to what equipment you use. Normally free weights and a stability ball will give you a great workout. But again it depends on your fitness level.
